Alexia
Alessia Aquilani (aka ALEXIA), is one of the most talented Italian singer. She come out with her powerful voice in 1993, when she took part to ICE MC project, recording smash hits such as “Think about the way” and “It’s a rainy day”, this one was the most important one, since it was included in cult movie “TRAINSPOTTING”.
She started her solo career in 1995 by recording hits like “Me and you”, followed by some song which shortly become summer hits, such as “Summer is crazy”, “Number one”, and “Uh la la la”.
In 2002 she started singing in Italian and took part to Sanremo’s Festival, which she won the next year with the beautiful ballad “Per dire di no”. From that moment on she kept on singing in her mother tongue, leaving aside for a while dance and pop music which have given her success but also trapped her into a stereotype, something too small tight for her grit.
Something was changing. The change is there for all to see now that her new album is out in Italy: a decisive rock-turning, in which Alexia’s has come out in all her energy, composing her songs and writing her lyrics. The first single “Grande Coraggio”, from her new Album “Alè”, has been sung in Pechino, at Casa Italia – CONI, to encourage the Italian national team. The second single “Guardarti Dentro”, is in heavy rotation on the radio, and the album itself, is going to be released all across Europe, by the end of the year.
